Ramia Mazé (SE/US/FR), PhD, is adjunct professor at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts, and Design and guest teacher at the School of Architecture at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Specializing in participatory and critical approaches to design, she has led research teams and published widely through interdisciplinary and international projects in sustainable development, design activism, smart materials, and interactive spaces through the Interactive Institute since 2001. Recent projects include 'Designing Social Innovation', which critically surveys projects in the US and Europe, and DESIGN ACT with Magnus Ericson (Berlin: Sternberg Press / Iaspis, 2011). Previously, she worked in corporate research and design consultancies in the US and UK and as an editor at the architectural publication ANY. She earned degrees in architecture (BA), computer-related design (MA), and interaction design (PhD).
